Statewide SET August 22, 2015

Good Morning All:

Here is the latest news I have on the upcoming exercise. Saturday August 22, 2015 at 9:00am

We are planning a brief circuit test exercise for phone, HF digital, DMR-MARC, and 6M FM (optional) tests.

HF Voice 7280 khz ; secondary 3965 if band is long

HF Digital

0915 LOCAL @ 7040 kHz USB DIAL (alternate 7045)
0945 LOCAL @ 5357 kHz USB DIAL (alternate 5371.5) Bulletin
MT63-1000S, Olivia 8-500, FSQ-6, PSK-31, RTTY-45 for about one minute each, with approx 30 seconds between
All transmissions will begin with FLDigi “TxID” turned ON.
Tone center 1500 Hz above dial frequency

DMR-MARC (check in 9:30am)
Nevada TG 3132 color 15, TS 2 (southern NV); Frenchman N7ARR color 1
Nevada TG 3132 color 1, TS 2 (northern NV)

6M FM
Simplex coverage test on 52.525 (county coverage simplex) Repeaters may be used to test wider area coverage

This is a test for communications circuits. The test exchange on phone should be a circuit merit report 1 through 5 with 5 as best signal. Test should evaluate which digital mode works the best that has the best chance for information exchange. DMR test is to evaluate whether there are enough users on the system to use it as a Statewide coordination (intercom) mode under normal circumstances. The 6M test is evaluate the whether this simplex frequency has better local coverage over 2M simplex.

After action reports should be brief and include how many participated, test results and any operational comments such as deployment issues and equipment operation.

Thanks should be a fun exercise.
